Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

samsung tv going into stand by mode

    Just home to put tv on and its switching to stand by mode after 1 minute. Tried it several times any tips please. The automatic off funtion is off btw. its the 37es5500 only 18 month old

    Did you find a solution for this?
    Mine is switching itself off every minute and back on again straight away. Not the same TV, but it is a Samsung 32 inch 5 series.

    Hi I bought a nice sony instead but im taking the samsung to repair should tomorrow I ll keep you posted.

    I figured my one out. When I disconnected the External hard drive that I used for TV recording it stopped rebooting. I had to format that drive and reconnect, it may have been full. I lost all my recordings, but at least the issue isn't happening anymore.
