Samsung Galaxy Europa - GPS fix?

    Has anybody heard something about a fix for the GPS yet, for the Samsung Europa?
    I got one, works fine, but GPS does not. The GPS booster does help, but really, if an app helps, it should be implemented in the phone...
    Searching the web I found that there were GPS fixes for other samsung phones, ('gpsrestore'), but I could not find anything similar for the samsung europa yet.

    1. Type in *#*#1472365#*#*. This will bring you to GPS setting.
    2. Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Address -> Server Type: 1x MPC
    3. Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Position mode: option3
    4. Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Session Operation: Standalone
    5. Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Server Option: Local
    6. gpsOne XTRA -> Xtra Enable: Enable

    Now give it a shot and all should be fine

    If you want to go back to default settings,

    1. Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Address -> Server Type: UMTS SLP
    2. Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Position mode: option2
    3. Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Session Operation: MS-based
    4. Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Server Option: Default

    Sorry guys. Hadn't seen the replies
    I got the above from a forum myself
    Think it was xda-developers
    Worked great for me too, but have seen a few people say it didn't
    Might be something to do with the firmware version on the phone maybe?

    I've moved to 2.2. My GPS was working intermittently with 2.1 but nothing with 2.2, even after I've followed the steps above.

    did you try the new code for 2.2? it is *#3214789650# to open GPS settings then follow the normall instructions. This worked fine for me after I flashed my phone to 2.2 froyo.
