What I can't fathom from the pics of Rathmorrissey is will the middle bridge get sufficient clearance over the middle level roundabout?

It doesn't look obvious from the pics.

The roundabout will be very large, so there would be scope to camber its overall cross section with the high point over the M6 - this would probably result in a junction of approximately 2.5 levels rather than a full 3 level rise.

This would surely cut construction costs in terms of embankments - ramp lengths would remain unaffected though.

Ok, I made simple drawings (very, very simple ;)) about what I had in mind in my question.

Will they use single bridge like this:
23227656053_5e6ebfa74d_b.jpgSingle bridge by Geogregor*, on Flickr

Or separate bridges over the mainline and the roundabout:

For now the construction of this structure is a bit mysterious for me.

I thinks it's going to be 3 separate bridges with infill embankments. I guess the current middle structure will be augmented with side spans - one on either side. I think the middle beams were placed in advance to coincide with beam placement works on the other M6 bridges so as to minimise traffic disruption.

Clearly right, or they'd have used embankments rather than pillars either side.

I'm guessing side-spans too, rather than embankments. Handy to see this pic to remind everybody what we're talking about (although you must imagine the 'roundabout' and existing M6 swapping places):

Talk about giving yourself plenty of time. 2 years the M6 Ballinasloe to Galway took, with several online tie ins required on busier roads.
