Apparently I mentioned a forbidden topic.

The mod who gave me the infraction hasn't clarified this accusation, but merely pointed me to a list of forbidden topics - none of which I have mentioned...

Can the mod in question explain?
    Dear Dangel4x4,

You have been infracted for posting about a forbidden topic.

There are some things we don't allow discussion about on Boards.ie.

Please see the Boards.ie FAQ for more details.

If you wish to appeal this infraction you can see details on how to do so here.

Hello challengemaster , Its Disappointing too hear you say that when you dont know me or have never dealt with me , I take a massive amount of pride and detail in my work .. and i take it to heart when a customer complains about the work at hand
I have no idea of what car or problem that chap is on about
also the directions to my garage are totally wrong , and i have a feeling i know where he went
    Regards Paul

    Welcome to boards.ie.

On a related note, maybe a Motors forum moderator can tell us all the story about the time boards.ie were sued for defamation by MCD Productions ?

Which of your forbidden topics listed on the Boards.ie FAQ did I fall foul of?

This appears to be the complete list:
Pictures or links to pictures of Porn
Pictures or links to pictures showing nipples and/or genitalia
    Child abuse/under age/jailbait/Lolita stuff
How to do illegal things (this ranges from software piracy, to swindling the Revenue Commissioners)
Pictures or links to pictures of self harming
    Pro anorexia pictures and websites
    Trepanning websites
    Bestiality
    Ordering medications online.

    Hi Dangel4x4,

Discussion of the MCD legal action against Boards (and general discussion of MCD because of it) used to be a forbidden topic of discussion. It was a longstanding rule for several years. That rule was lifted a while back.

As your post was specifically about the MCD legal action against Boards, the mod was working off the old rules, without realising that rule had been lifted (to be honest, I had to check to see if it was lifted or not as I wasn't too sure myself what the status was on it).

On that basis, having discussed it with the mod, we're happy to lift the infraction. The infraction should be lifted in the next 24 hours or so.

    Regards,
    Penn
