Hi, I have sciatica from herniated lumbar discs. My pain is only when I sit. I can stand, play golf, lift weights etc no problem.
Recently the pain has been getting worse. I was taking Ixprim 37.5mg as required but these have stopped working. I had previously tried Difene 75mg which didn't really cut it either.
I'm now on Lyrica 50mg x 4 daily. Have been on these for a month. Initially these were great but they are starting to lose their effectivity in the last week. I am sleeping well, feeling calm and relaxed but pain level is starting to creep up again. I read that they are addictive so this is concerning me... Also my weight is increasing since I started on them, which I'm not happy about!
My GP has recommended that I supplement the Lyrica with Difene or Ixprim (whichever I prefer).
Any thoughts or suggestions on what course of action I should take?

i use ixprix 37.5 by about 4 a day, if it gets really bad, it can go to six. I also use arcoxia 90mg as the lyrica made me think my head was going to explode. Difene kill my stomach. It can be a hard balancing act to get the right combination and its different for everyone. Listen to your own body and get a good pain management specialist :)

I have gabapentin for nerve pain, lyrica didn't suit me at all. I find difene is starting to impact on my stomach now too.Physio and core strength work will help too.

Some people can take it with no impact. I have been taking it for years and with food, but I find it harder to take now .
