Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hi guys,

    We're in the situation were we have the Clarence booked, so we've decided to go ahead and hold the launch party.

    It's short notice, but I think most people would like one, considering.

    It'll be in the Clarence, doors open 12 pm, tourney will start 1pm roughly.

    This is not backed by Capcom but the Irish FGC is paying for it, so we're going to ask for a small entrance fee of 5 euro. I hope that's ok. If it goes beyond the cost of the room, we'll put it into prizes.

    I appreciate this is tight, but if people could pledge any gear, we'll be grateful as always.

    Will be there to run the tournament as well as possibly, hopefully streaming it. Will bring along a console for sure and a monitor if the stream isn't possible.

    @Dreddy - The hotel can only accommodate a 512kb wireless, think its right that we wont be able to stream.

    On the topic of equipment, yes at this point logistically every little helps. We're throwing this together at the last minute, so I simply can't say "we'll have 4 xboxes, 3 ps3s" etc.

    If you are bringing gear though, I'd recommend marking it or putting a little sticker on it somewhere. There will (hopefully) be a lot of similar gear and I don't want any going missing on anyone.

    Dude my first tournament was the Evo Qualifier last year and lost all of my games in pools. Did I feel embarrassed, yes. Would I do it again, HELL YEAH.

    No one will turn around and go "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU SUCK DUDE, DAM GET OUT"

    They kinda go "Man that was harsh but if you work on getting that 1 frame link and playing more patient when you in the lead then you would do better"

    We here to help and grow our community not shun people away.

    Yeah I just saw the post on the SRK forums and thought "Well I'm a B+ rank on Xbox live with 1500pp, how good can the Irish players be???"

    If I had not done that I would still be a wall jumping Vega scrub (YES I STILL PLAY VEGA BUT I DON'T KEEP WALL JUMPING)

    Good man. Hopefully see ya there. I'll be the typical looking nerd (long hair, dorky glasses and weird nerdy T-Shirt)
