Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

power supplies Regional question

    If I buy a laptop in ireland will it work say in india?
    Is the voltage inside the power supplies the same?

    I can buy a 2 pin converter for it for 4 euro no problem but
    I would hate it my new laptop fails to work in a differant region:(
    Heading over on thursday...:o

    Laptop chargers (as do modern camera's etc) work on any voltage, just buy an adapter. If You check the charger You'll see written on it that the voltage range is from 110-230v which covers everywhere.

    as long as the charger says 110-230v yes. If it only says 230, or only 110 then no.
