Spoiler alert - It's a man in a gorilla suit pretending to be King Kong.

Haven't seen it but some say it's a guilty pleasure.
    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055058/reviews?ref_=tt_urv
"Konga" is a badly written, acted and directed piece of poverty row exploitation British-style,but you'd have to be utterly cold hearted not to get a lot of fun out of it.

    Fri 20.03.2020 Konga

Just saw this on Facebook... Universal releasing some very recent movies digitally this week.

Movies such as The Invisible Man, Trolls World Tour, The Hunt and Emma will be on several platforms for sale and digital rent in iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Prime and FandangoNow. In the United States, they will also be available through Comcast, OnDemand and on Sky in Europe.

A Monster Calls is on at 22:30 tomorrow (Sunday) night on BBC1. Not sure why it's on so late, while not exactly a kids film it's not late night fare either.
Anyway.... great film based on the Patrick Ness* book about a young boy who while trying to deal with his mum being very ill starts getting visited by a giant Yew tree who tells him 3 stories in exchange for one from him. Liam Neeson voices the tree and he looks amazing. They used a lot of physical props for the effects and it really pays off. The visuals are amazing.

*it was started by Siobhan Dowd who sadly died before she could finish it.

    15:45-17:45 Mon 13th Apr 2020 115m
    ITV3
Carry On Screaming (1966) - One of the better Carry On's it's a spoof of Hammer Horror

    14:00-15:45 Mon 13th Apr 2020 92m
    ITV3
Carry On Cleo (1964) - "Infamy ! infamy ! They've all got it in for me"

    08:15-09:40 Mon 13th Apr 2020 90m
    True Movies
Duck Soup (1933) - Seven years before Chaplin did The Great Dictator the Marx Brothers were taking a dig at Fascism.

    21:00-23:15 Mon 13th Apr 2020 90m
    Sony Movies
Baby Driver (2017) - Ansel Elgort should have played the young Han Solo. Anyway there's bank robberies, fast cars and music

    12:40-14:50 Mon 13th Apr 2020 90m
    Horror Channel
The Arrival (1996) - Charlie Sheen is a cable guy worrying about global warming.

    13:40-15:40 Mon 13th Apr 2020 90m
    BBC1
Film: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) - still a roller coaster ride of a movie so best viewed without Ads.

If you want more fighting Nazi's in castles there's also this
    17:50-21:00 Mon 13th Apr 2020 158m
    ITV4

    True Movies
Breaker Morant (1981) - Australian film based on true events from the second Anglo-Boer War in South Africa. The Australian Army refused to ever again allow their troops to be tried by British court-martial.

Not really a recommendation but I don't remember RTE showing it on St Patrick's day.

    Talking Pictures TV
Flight of the Doves (1971) - I don't remember RTE showing it on St Patricks day. The past is a different county. Cringey but you can try to recognise the locations.

    01:10-03:25 Wed 15th Apr 2020 100m
    Sony Movies
The Road (2009) - Set in a post apocalyptic ash-covered wasteland, good but it's very much not a feel good movie.

    "Packed with old-fashioned matinee thrills"
What makes Ray Harryhousen's stop motion work worth watching is the character he brings to them. If you prefer CGI then look elsewhere.

    Brilliant film.

If you were to remake this film today you'd explain the use of low tech phones as smartphones are too traceable, and you'd name check quantum computing or whatever.
