But where's the date of when the NCT was done?

    Seems very pricey.
They don't always have the date of test on the discs, peculiarly enough.

The Xantia didn't have a NA diesel after 1995. After they were all turbocharged and the later ones, direct injection (The DW10 engine)

Candidate the laziest ad thread anyway. If you can't figure out how to edit a photo don't bother with newspaper, especially if you're giving a picture of the nct disk with the reg on it.

I understand people blocking the reg on very popular or expensive cars but a 98 fiesta? Is cloning rampant on them?

Here's my contribution.2000 Omega auto €999 in Dublin

    Cui bono?

Yep pointlessly hiding the number plate like that is a bit of a pet hate of mine also. Phil must have been slow enough not to realise the number is clearly visible on the NCT disc. Tidy looking Omega by the way. Tax alone left on it is worth the thick end of €450

Accord, 00, NCT'd for nearly a year for only €700. Absolute bargain.

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3048544

It's gone up €95 in price though.

EDIT: Wrong car, they're not the same, what's the chances of 2 silver Accords with the same discolouration on the same door!!!!!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,149 ✭✭✭✭Berty

At least in the old pictures you wouldn't notice the dent on the drivers side. €95 surely covered the valeting he did on it. :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,285 ✭✭✭Frankie Lee

I wonder is it a common flalw in them or what would be the cause?

Still a slightly discoloured door wouldn't put me off them as they were one of the finest cars ever built.

In 2003 that car had a dealer stamp showing 89000 mils on the clock. now it has a reputed 94000. either its missing an digit before the 9 or its the least driven car in ireland.

    new engine ??

also you can clock a car as muchas you like... you just have to change the miles back " to the bestof you'e knowledge" whn you com to sell...

    Typical ireland.

I dont even think you need to change it back. The offence is selling a clocked car without telling the owner.

Well, if it is new engine, what is the point of service book for the old one?
I am glad to see the old one was serviced regularly years ago, before it failed, but it isn't relevant to the car that is on sale, really.

Normally, for car of this age, you won't have service stamps in the book. What i am looking for are the receipts from garage for services/work done in last 2-3 years. Not some stamps from like previous century...
