    Dramatic footage has been released showing the moment a new heavyweight torpedo sank a retired US warship.

    The MK 48 Mod 7 Common Broadband Sonar System torpedo was fired from the Australian submarine, HMAS Waller, during a naval exercise off the coast of Hawaii.

    The weapon was developed jointly by the US and Australia.

    The torpedo has sonar enchancements that make it more effective in shallow water and in a countermeasure environment

    that's amazing, to make a ship jump like that must take some force.

    I believe the torpedoes detonate just beneath the ships hull as opposed to actually plowing into its side. Breaks the ships keel.
