Again I totally misjudged the size of a watch from its description. I think 42mm is about right for me. I still like it though. My first watch without sub-dials too!

    I'm proud of you ! :D

Having said all that ...it is a quite nice looking watch. If it were smaller I'd wear that too.

At least you will see it 100m down. :D

I like it and prefer something I can easily read

I use this to help me figure out sizes and what they may look like on my wrist

This will be a bit of a shock  to Homer and Mitch Buchannon as I only recently slagged both of them for their interests in all things "Watch" :o:o

Who would have thought I was a closet watch enthusiast? Apparently I did some 20 years ago when I got my first Seiko. :)
I also have dress/fashion watches by Armani, Police, Arnette, Torque, Casio and Tommy Hilfiger but none from a premium watch brand.

Saving for a house at the moment so a substantial watch investment is way down the road but I have a h*rn for a Breitling navitimer world or the IWC Portuguese yacht club chronograph.

Anyhew to get the ball rolling...

    My new Getat :p
Iphone pics so quality not great.

It's an awesome watch. Isn't it an Aniversary edition itself or are you referring to the watch itself :)

Sorry, yes. it is the 50th anniversary Submariner. Thankfully I am not yet old enough to have a 50th anniversary of anything.

Beautiful MrP. Love the LV, it's really grown on me. Was only drooling over one in Weirs today, love how many shades of green there are depending on the light.

So eventually got this and managed to take some photos of it. Bought it direct from Watchuseek and Ernie was very pleasant and efficient. Wearing it 2 weeks today and it is +10s over the 2 weeks :D:D

Lume looks better in the photo with a long exposure than it really does - there was really no need to paint all the numerals I reckon.
I had expected it was going to come with a riveted strap, but not the end of the world.

Does this watch also contain GPS?

  • Registered Users Posts: 678 ✭✭✭m4r10

No GPS on the Core. Suunto have 2 GPS watches, X9 and X10, but they use rechargable batteries which have to be charges every few weeks, depending on the usage of the GPS, so not very handy if you're on a long treck.

This watch is apparently being recalled. They fubared the lower right minutes register. The indices should read 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 instead of the 1, 3, 6 ,8 ,9 that it has in your pictures.

That's good to know. I saw it on here and was thinking about getting one.

Wouldn't that make it even more rare?

105 years old and keeping track of every minute! This watch has been in the family for four generations, wound it up for the first time in years today and it still keeps perfect time.

    1906 Waltham Pocket Watch with a 14k pink/rose gold A.W.C. co. hunter
case. No chain though which is unfortunate, so I'm going to have to keep an eye out for one.
