Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Is this grammatically correct?

    Hey, quick question:

    Is "We do indeed do" grammatically correct?

    In a full sentence example:

    "Do you give some sort of training?"

    "We do indeed do training..."

    or the like.

    Yes but I'd still switch it to "we do indeed give training" or another appropriate verb if that was just an example

    Are you using the expression in dialogue? If so, it doesn't matter if it's grammatically correct or not. It may even sound better to use grammatically incorrect sentences to make it sound more authentic - depending on where your character is from, his background etc...

    If "yes" is too concise, how about "yes, we do"?

    There are times when one wants to give a strongly-affirmative tone to an answer by echoing the question. But the correct echo is: "We do indeed give training.". Nothing significant is lost by leaving the last two words implicit rather than expressed: "We do indeed.".
