1980 W116 Mercedes 450 SEL, silver with blue velour interior. Needs work: sills, boot floor, one hole in inner wing, filler in rear arches. Standing a while so brakes likely to be sticky, exhaust rusty, etc. But runs well and looks reasonable. Good spec with aircon and no sunroof. Vintage tax next year.

Offers around 500 or possible deal for W123, W107 parts or car.

@airnwater - can you PM me the approximate location of the Scimitar? Could be worth a look!

    hello
i am looking for spares for a 1975 triumph toledo , mainly after a decent pair of bumpers with reasonable chrome , some idiot took what looks like 40 grit sandpaper to the originals and scratched them badly. if anyone has a set of sprint alloys i'd be interested in those too , in fact anything dolomite or toledo thats going .
    thanks .

I recently put up a pic of what seemed to be a fairly abandoned dolomite recently in "classics". It was in Dublin on Sherrard street off the Nth Circular road near Dorset street. May be worth a look see.

Dont know much about this "link" business, but the pic is in the Classics forum, on the "Today I saw a classic and took a pic" on page 283. Dont know who owns it, you would have to knock on a few doors, but it seemed to be lying up and not in use. I was just in the neighbourhood and took the pics. Do you know the area and are you based in Dublin, cos I'm not!

Following a summer of walking past my pride & joy and instead loading up the familywagon, I have decided that I can't justify keeping the Merc anymore. And lets just say, the family is only going to get bigger... and the familywagon needs updating.

2/3 short runs a week, and a bigger run every once in a while just isn't right for such a trooper of a car.

    3845138894_a57ece1b7a.jpg

I've priced her, imo, very reasonably at €7,500... details here:
    http://www.carzone.ie/search/Mercedes-Benz/SL-Class/350/200935195007593/advert?channel=CARS

And loads of very detailed images here:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/conordavid/sets/72157621984151267/

She looks great, but has a couple of water leaks, tatty bits, and some idiosyncrasies - none of which have prevented me or the previous owners enjoying the car. Never, ever let me down in 2 1/2 years apart from a drained battery.

    Any queries just shout!

I've a 1993 190E 2.0 Auto soon to go on sale (this weekend).Daily driver, 78k miles, almandine red mettallic, full leather, electric windows all round, air con, electric sun roof, alloys, driver's air bag, ABS, cd player (have original radio cassette if required) partial service history, tax to 01/2010. Cherished by myself, no rust, serviced by Peter Sheridan in Rathgar since I have owned it.

I'm selling it to pay for a cheap commercial 4x4 and it kills me to do so. If you're interested PM me. Will have pictures at the weekend.

    I'm looking for around €3k

Forgot to mention I need to get it NTC'd and will do this prior to any sale.

    Thanks for reading.
