picopix flicker problem

I've gotten a loan og a picopix mini projector and it works from hdmi to mini hdmi. My laptop runs this perfectly but when i plug my ps4 into it I get lots of flickering and blue screen and the image pops up every 5 seconds or so. Has anyone had any issues like this or know why it might be happening? thanks
