Daangger (sp?) i.e. David has created a kind of graphic trademark that plays off the script of the existing logo. I would post it but not sure if he wants it distributed.

The existing logo has been working fine for letterhead.

David, if you're there, do you want to throw it up here just for the fun of it?

The current IrelandOffline logo can be seen in the graphic posted by Adam above.

We are probably going to convert it slightly to incorporate a snail (with the "O" being it's shell) - we had this partly done by the time our public meeting came around and so used it in our name badges.

Other than that small change, the logo stays as-is. No need to change it.

You can see the logo in the pic that was in the Irish Times story on Friday, not the online version but the one in the paper itself.

And the snail thing works...it's not to say that we're moving at the pace of a snail, Ireland is and we want to change it. It's quite a nice logo.

I just gotta give the snail a tail (the one in the paper was minus its tail), and we agreed he could do with one! I'm sure we can put it up on the site soon enough.

Well no, as it's not quite prepared yet... but here's the "so far so good" snail... which will act as the "O" of "Offline". It will have a tail added which will trail in behind the first "f".

ive an idea, how about the irish flag coming of the type of the shell,

kinda like, *its a hole, but its our hole"

I don't think this is a good idea, for a few reasons:

    1. Not very respectful use of the national flag.

    2. I'd prefer to keep the logo as uncomplicated as possible.

    3. It needs to be printable and just as good in black and white, greyscale or monotone. (i.e.: we can't rely on being able to use green and orange when printing it.)

    - so from my point of view, - I'd say "no - there's no point in it".

yeah- the sad look on his face is a bonus...

anyway- the question that started this topic has been answered.

    to recap:

Q: "Do we need a logo?"
A: "We already have one, thanks."

    Topic closed smile.gif
