Dynamite Headdy all the characters are puppets.

The Neverhood games all use claymation.

Screaming Mantis in Metal Gear Solid 4 used two puppets to control people. In some cases, strings appeared over people she was controlling. You could also collect the puppets and use them as weapons to control soldiers yourself to an extent.

The main enemies of Devil May Cry were puppets.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

I was also going to mention the Bloody Puppets from the first Devil May Cry. They didn't play any kind of big role in the game though, they were just grunts.

Not quite sure what you're looking for.... but Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos bleeds had a ventriloquists dummy as a key character

I assume it's for some college-level paper on the theme of the player as a puppet.

If not, I'd rather not know..

Good Lord, this is an impressively obscure one. Sid!

I'm dissappointed in all the answers and no one holding out until the OP explains why he needs to know about games with puppets....

Is it a durty reason op? Like playing Streetfighter 2 and pausing the game when Chun Li flashes her knickers?

There's been a number of Muppets games over the years too, if you're counting them. Most recently, there was Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster on Kinect, but it was more of an interactive TV programme than a game.

The recent Alice: Madness Returns had a villain that dealt with puppets.
