No thoughts on the above, thinking €100 for the whole lot, maybe a bit too much? Cheers.

Id say you'd be lucky for the €100, there old and you would need to find someone wanting to build low budget pc, id say if you got an offer for a €60- 70 up take it.

    Thoughts on this aging laptop?

    HP G62 G62-340us Notebook PC
    Processor : Intel i3 CPU M 350 @ 2.27GHz
    RAM : 4MB
    HDD : 500GB HDD
OS : Windows 7 Home Premium
    Floppy Drive : No
    Graphics: Intel HD Graphics
CD ROM : Yes (ST9500325AS, has malfunctioned though)
Software : Other than typical HP related software, the remaining purchased software worth maybe €200+?
    MS Office : Yes
    Working : yes

Battery probably requires replacing but everything else is the same since factory install. It's roughly 5 years old and paid €700 for it brand new. I'm thinking it's worth a very generous €100 at the least...maybe?

Can only find this model with an AMD 2.2ghz CPU. Are you sure your model number/specs are correct?

I could be interested in this if you are looking to sell...

Not more than €150 in resale market.

    Cheers man !

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,930 ✭✭✭✭TerrorFirmer

You'd get more than 150 for it. It's a pretty poor gaming machine but it's still a decent 2nd gen i3, good amount of ram and a decent sized hard drive. I'd be surprised if you didn't get closer to €250 for it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9 Simple Computers

TerrorFirmer could be right but it is very hard to sell used desktop this days.
    So thomas 123 GLWS.

I was thinking along those lines it would be a good entry level PC, im not asking what i would get but what i should be aiming for. Ya I was using it more for college work(Adobe cs6). And just on a side note the Graphics card is like the only 1/2 decent one compatible with the board had to get it new from the states.

The H520s takes low profile pci-express cards - there are any amount of them on Dabs, Amazon, OC UK, etc.

The 7570 is an OEM card, so unless someone convinced you that you needed an 'official' OEM part....but any low profile pci-e card will work in that machine.

For example this would work and would be 3 times faster than a 7570.

Or a cheaper one like this that would be twice as fast.

Or this would be about a bit faster.

Well i took into consideration the PSU, & according to a couple of the official lenovo forums this was the one to go with at the time. I was most likely mislead after looking at what you have shown me!

Cant post urls as i am a new user but https:// forums. lenovo .com/t5/Lenovo -3000-and-Valueline/Lenovo-H520s-Video-Card/td-p/964787

    Thank you TerrorFirmer.
Any idea what i could look for the PC if i where to sell it?
