HI does anyone know when Sky are going to update Sky+ software or have they stop it. I thought it was to happen quite awhile ago. Is their any point in doing a forced software download? Thanks for your help.

last one was about two months ago. I suppose next one will be the "messages" download that all other digiboxes got.

They are still finishing the upgrade to ordinary digiboxes, the latest being the 1.2S4 F3 version to the operating system, following the recent upgrade to EPG 3.2.11.

The recent "B1" update to Sky+ was related to the Cooling Function.

All EPG updates are schedueled for completion before the end of June, and this should include Sky+.

All boxes are expected to get a major new software update in July which is reported will greatly increase the capacity of channels the boxes can display.

A forced download will not achieve anything on a Sky+ box at present unless you have missed the cooling update. (It reads Model:2.057 B1 on a Pace Version2 Box).

A forced download on the normal Digibox should now bring up the 3.2.11 update,if it is still on the old version.

Remember the new software seems to prevent access to the default EPG so the "Upside Down Card" trick will no longer work for displaying the BBC channels in their correct positions on the EPG.
