I have a mortgage with an ex of mine. No money has been paid in about 24 months. Iv sent letters to the bank phoned them and they won't really listen unless we are wiling to make payments. Iv advised of situation numerous of times.asking them to start legal proceeding so that it will hopefully be repossessed. Any advise on w what I need to do to get ball rolling

Well 24 months with no formal action by the bank is surprising.

Are you sure they have not issued anything?

Only thing to do is contact them for the most up to date stance.

Ulster Bank will do you a deal but they want to see you making some sort of contribution. Both you and your ex have to show them how much you can both afford to repay them on monthly basis after reasonable living expenses. If they do a deal, you are looking at another 5 years before they will let you off.

Best going to a debt management company and getting their advice on it. They are experts in dealing with the bank and can save you a lot of stress and possibly tens of thousands of euro.
