I'm up against Scaldyballs and we've 8 different players including captain choice.
    Televised game for sure :)

Chic's XI hoping to get off to a good start

  • I'm "DontCallMe Schurrle", playing "True Blues". Good few different players between us, but if Sturridge remains quiet for him I'd fancy my chances.

I said it in the signup threads, this league is probably going to be the most competitive of the 4, i reckon.

Chamakh My Pitch Up (34) Vs Gift of The Gabbidon (36)

Basically boils down to Sterling Vs Henderson later today in this tie.

    Squeeky bum time!

    Crystal Phallus(El Horseboxo) (+Terry/Costa) 39 - 36AC Alittlesilhouetto(Shedite27) (+Nasri)

    Opening day loss :(

    Jingle Jangle(F1ngers)(41 points + Terry, Fabregas and Costa (c)) v Chic's XI(Copper_pipe)(38 points + Terry, Fabregas, Costa)

On operning day defeat for Chic's XI

    Jingle Jangle(F1ngers)(41 points + Terry, Fabregas and Costa (c) + Coutinho) v Chic's XI(Copper_pipe)(38 points + Terry, Fabregas, Costa)

On operning day defeat for Chic's XI

    I have Coutinho too.
Red card for him could swing it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,092 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

26 points behind.... Scaldys capt Sturridge delivered late on for an additional 12 points.

Would have fancied my chances at 14 points behind with Krul, Terry, Jovetic & Fab left to play. (Both have Costa, his final player).
It was looking a lot better an hour ago.....

Well I managed to squeeze this one thanks to Sterling. A nice start to the league

    Balotelitubbies(Axwell) 41 v FC Kilcullen(Wonski) 58:D

We both have Fabregas and Costa. Very good start, Siggy sitting on the bench hurts but I can't complain.

    manual_man next. Good luck everyone.

    I had a dream;)

All my players started so happy with that.

I completely ignored all the advice I got from "Rate My Team" thread and weakened my defence to have a strong midfield. Chester did the job nicely.
Pieters bonus points helped a bit, too:D

Some difference in our teams, looking forward to the next week.

    Round 1 over.

We scored an average of 59.95 points, which shows the level is high.

I have noticed before that my opponent used his wildcard. His team value gave me all the information I needed;)

    I brought Lloris in as a counter-attack measure:D

Dynamo Bumbles '09 (Mint Sauce) v (F1ngers) Jingle Jangle

Mint Sauce brought in Siggy for Osman.

Only four players shared by both teams, Krul, Terry, Siggy and Rooney.

Didn't think you could see each others teams until matchday started, or you going by the transfer thread?

We can see GW1 team, number of transfers / wild card active + team value.

I already know the transfers made by my opponent by looking at the team value. He is at the top value which means he brought: Sterling, Dier, Chester, Siggurdson, Vlaar, Berahino and Fabergas.

I already know what players he had prior to that so can easily figure out what the team is now.

    We can't - educated guess.

doubt it. just doing what any old head would with his early wild card and seeking to make some profit. since transpired (with the new price rise system!!) there wasn't any benefit to be had from this! (siggy the only 0.2 riser who i had anyway and am keeping). you'll see soon so i'll tell you anyway:

    Guzan Gilks

    Clyne Bruce Hutton Ferdinand Dummett

    King Rambo Fab Sterling Siggy

    Costa Rooney Aguero

9 changes all told. was never keeping players like Berahino and Dier i thought you'd at least have given me credit for that :D

I must admit Aguero can do some damage here. Definitely more damage than Berahino.

Dynamo Bumbles '09 (Mint Sauce) v (F1ngers) Jingle Jangle

    I lead 49 to 38(47*)

    Differences are:

Mint Sauce has Davies(Hull), Sterling, Fletcher and Sturridge.

I have Chester, Coutinho and Mata.

Wouldn't like to call it. Very tight.

*Williams coming off the bench for Nolan.

He also has Fonte on the bench with 9 points...hope they stay there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,687 ✭✭✭✭wonski

    FC Kilcullen (Wonski) 38 v 50 (manual_man) Ramsey Brigadier

12 points - very little chance of me winning it. Have 2 more players to play and need them to keep clean sheet.

Other than that it is Mata&Silva versus his Sterling&Aguero.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

    Chic's XI(Copper_pipe) Vs Balotelitubbies(Axwell)

Its my 47 points with De Gea, Caulker, Mata , Rooney and Fletcher vs Axwell's 42 points with De Gea, Caulker, Mata, Henderson and Rooney,

Chester off - I can't see myself winning this now.

Bear in mind minimal points for Davis as a result. Cant see them keeping a clean sheet now for 80 odd minute's.

All to play for. Just 6 points in it

    Me: Rooney Sterling Aguero

    v You: Rooney Mata Silva

If Mata gets the 3 bps(looking likely at the moment), it will make tomorrow very interesting.

Your Sterling and Sturridge + 53 points to my Coutinho + 59 points.
