Two more episodes episodes left, and it's over for the summer

I normally put the subtitles on Irish. So I am struggling the court case scenes. Lots of new words I do not hear often. Plenty to learn.
My take on it is Andy is a better 'solicitor' than Dee.

Poor auld Frances gets to keep all the secrets:

    *Tadgh/Maggie
    *Hitting Andy with the car
    *Vince/Emma
*Now she knows Michelle is loaded and how much she has invested

Tadgh, Vince and Michelle are lucky Frances is not like Maire!

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

But yet she's the manager of ionad pobal and hasn't noticed any mysterious cash transactions yet

Great point. It wouldn't have happened if Labhras was still in charge!

The look on Mack's face as he finally realised the truth!
    Took him long enough....

Brilliant story lines . Very good actors I love it puts rest of soaps to shame

Such a tense episode last night- what drama!. Along with Mack's revelation about Dee, I though Nathan's horror at realising that Andy had murdered Suzanne was well done (and Andy is such a great villain). Brían is awful, though, and I do hope he gets some form of comeuppance early next year

Briain's bushy eyebrows, and angry eyes scare the bejayus out of me.

We should now learn why he was ran out of Australia and had to give up his Aussie Rules?

Cleverest future story-line was Colm being given the credit card. Given his past, how he confided in Catriona and how he knows about her money issues. It should make a decent plot.

it was a bit hypocritical of Briain to make cheap jibes about Sorchas mother when his own mother isn't exactly an angel, wherever she's gone now

Really enjoying the old episodes. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the Owen storyline. I hope they continue to show them.

What other show would have a auld lad talking to Chickens, and a rape story in the same episode!

Does anybody know if they are back filming yet?

Is it on at the moment? I've never watched it but would like to give it a go. Are they playing old episodes?

Still putting the old episodes on you tube two a week - started 1996.

More recent ones on TG player. With player on laptop can chose subtitles(Eng/Irish) or no subtitles.

Hope so. That season 2 ending was well acted (if predictable). Fionnuala Ní Fhlatharta (Bernie) is a great actress really throws herself into it but not OTT. Great to see the 90's. Plus back then in RnR they were not afraid to play English language chart music in scenes. Adds to realism I think.

They were delayed by a few weeks getting back to filming due to Covid-19, but apparently the new season will begin airing on September 22nd, which is 3 weeks later than it usually would and seems about right given the slight delay starting up production again, unless something happens in the meantime to push that date back again.

We enjoyed it, there were so many things we'd forgotten.

Fathers day must be very confusing in Ros na Rún though.

I enjoy looking at the old episodes. Wish they would go back to showing them on TG4 or even youtube.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,129 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

They did a good job of that. Like bits of theater interspersed with old clips.
Cleverly done despite all the social distancing.
I think it would be good if the kept that style now and again, in normal episodes.
Talking to the viewer in a soliloquy. They are great at it.

I didn't know John Joe had a trendy beard before, that made me laugh.

    ---

I had to google soliloquy to spell it! (no culture in me!) :o

Féinuiríoll is the Irish word for soliloquy according to focloir.ie
    Literally 'self-representation'.
That's one to try on a proper gaeilgeoir! I will try and test them! :D

I tried to watch on the TG4 Player but the audio and video was very much out of sync so I had to give up. I'm raging because I love Tadgh

I watched it grand on laptop - you could cast it to your telly - or use hdmi cord.

That is what I do (can't get tg player app on my tv - use satellite not tv provider.)
