Hi all,

    I am a healthy 30 year old male in a relationship and I still awake each morning with a hardon like when I was a teenager. I thought it was to do with a lack of sex but I have sex a least twice a week with my girlfriend. I was not very sexually experienced until I met my current girlfriend and always was shy when it came to doing the deed but she had never complained about my performance. I am more into kissing and cuddling in bed and hearing my girlfriend laughing as I think she has a sexy fememine laugh I am submissive sexually and rarely initate penetrative sex and refuse to do anything more adventerous as I do'nt want to hurt her. I enjoy the female company in bed and usually fall asleep after some gentle petting in bed, but when I awake the next morning I am hard as a rock and a little embarrased. I have told her about this and she does not see it as a problem and is happy that everything is working down there. Am I been silly

    That is a normal male physical reaction, if you are still concerned talk to your gp.

    Erections are a normal physical response, as Thaed pointed out, and aren't really a health issue.

    If you are experiencing priapism (prolonged erections), see your family physician.
