Im the same, and in the unlikely event of tax staying as it currnetly is for the next 3-4 years i would deffo have my eye on a future 08/09 535d @ 300 euros tax p/a that or a 530d at 156 euro a year

I was away for 2 weeks there, so I'm backing looking again.

The price is just too high for me, the Alpina isn't too far of them but I dont know much about getting parts for them, cost and all that.

I'm going to try and have a look at an 840 in the next few days

If you think parts and cost are cheaper for a 840 then a alpina then

A decent 840 will cost you alot more then that alpina.

The cost and parts for the alpina aint that expensive unless your getting dealer parts imo

I didnt know what the alpinas parts would cost, is the 840s parts and services really that much more?

BMW parts are pricey enough for their normal cars. Parts for their cars that even whiff of performance are quite a bit dearer.

I drove a 02 330ci auto, lovely sound of it and I was impressed with the auto.
Is the manual alot better?
Though its not exactly what im looking for but it had me thinking.
