Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

late payment of court fine

    i received a court fine nearly 1 year ago of 400, i forgot about it completely until i got a reminder maybe 2 wks ago that the deadline for payment was coming up. The deadline was 28/6/11.

    i went into hospital last week for a leg operation which caused me to completely forget again about paying the fine until tonight. i was in bed just about to fall asleep when i remembered it again, so i went online and immediately paid it, i've also been suffering from a bad cold since getting out of hospital so my head hasn't been the clearest.

    i paid the fine on 29/6/11 at 1.15am, i.e 1hr 15 mins after the deadline but that is still past the due date none the less.

    what are the repercussions of this, a bigger fine/warrant of arrest? should i hear anymore about it or does this constitute asking for legal advice?

    don't worry about it i have paid fines before weeks after the said date, when i didn't pay it by the said date all they did was send me out another letter a few weeks after giving me a final warning to pay it.
