Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Ford mondeo, rusted sills

    Hi, Got ford mondeo NCT'ed today, failed on sills under car on rust/corrosion, where in Westmeath would you get this done, a good welder with CO welder or panel beater any recommmendations???? Athlone area preferably, thanks in advance,

    Mark 3, year '02, irish car,was quoted 300euros by local panel beater thought this was expensive,

    €300 might not be too bad, cut the old rust out, treat the area, prime and paint it. Paint alone would be best part of €100. It would be a days work at least.

    €300 sounds ok, providing it's a proper job and not a bodge.

    It really depends on how deep the corrosion is. What's on the surface is generally only a fraction of what you'll find underneath.
