Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Not surprising:
    He thinks the ESB/Vodafone joint venture will be pointless 'duplication'.
    He would say that as it's serious competition.
    Surprising:
    He supports the merger of O2 and Three
    Actually why would he be against take over (not a merger) of an fairly competent operator by an almost incompetent operator that needs to dramatically increase data prices to make a profit? So not surprising. The "competition" issue as I wrote many times before is almost irrelevant to the main issues the Regulator should consider.

    I'm surprised he's showing his hand at this stage. I would have thought it was worth objecting, at least until he was assured of getting some free/cheap spectrum. Maybe he's done a deal with them on the infrastructure already.
