Had to tow my mates O/H home, she had no gears, with the engine on or off.
She said it was hard to get gears and the stick was hitting off her leg while it was driving.
Any how, took the box off, no horror scene and clean oil.

The clutch and bearing look okay, would you use it again

    Flywheel looks good

So what to do, 2003 almera, used box? refurb? new clutch?

Can you strip the box to see why it failed to drive the car?

Hard to get gears sounds like a selector issue to me....

Yeah, suppose, in for a penny... eh? But on the other hand if I find a broken part it will only be available as a new part, breaker wants to sell a whole box and main dealer wants big kerr-ching for his gold plated washers.

The gearbox that Nissan tried to make out of cheese. Famous for being soft.
