    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has moved their pets to Australia from Ireland recently? How did you go about it? Which company did you use? We have 2 cats and will probably be taking them over to the UK and shipping from there....
Any advice would be gratefully received.....
    :D Mel.

There are 2 companys who regularlyship animals to Australia. Multi Cargo and K International freight. Both are good professional companys who to the best of my knowledge (which is good in this area) have never had any issues getting animals to Australia.

    The procedure is

! Get the imort licence from the Autralian Embassy. Your Vet fills in some parts and then a Vet at the airport fills in the rest and seals the box on departure. Your agent will organise that.

In my experience its better to get an agent as they will make all the bookings, all you need to do is get the form.

99% of the time the animals go with British Midland through Heathrow so its as easy to ship from here.

Just for anyone shipping dogs make sure the box is nearly too big. There have been animals stopped in Heathrow to have the box changed even though its been big enough. The animal has to be able to stand fully and turn around.
