    I'm reading my S2S Mentor manual and it mentions that the dental school provides free/reduced-cost dental checkups to fellow TCD students?

    Is this true?

    No not really. Treatment is free if you are seen by a 2nd year student. Treatment from years 3, 4 and 5 costs less than what it would in private practice (or free if you have a medical card) but to become a patient at the hospital you must be referred in by your general dental practitioner. Second year students can bring in their friends and family for treatment though this takes place after Christmas when they start seeing patients.
