Hi, i mainly target shoot these days at a rifle range.
I was just like to know, as i am a member of a target shooting club, would i be able to get a cert for a AR 15 .223? I have allways wanted one for target practice, but never got round to it. I know they use to liecence them, but not sure if the guards still do?
    Thanks.

    Keelan.

It's a restricted firearm so you have to give a reason why this is the only firearm that is suitable for the task in hand.

If it's not then the c. super will just tell you to apply to the super for a bolt action.

It can be done, there are comps being run on two ranges for modular sporting rifles[The polite term ;)] these days that require such a rifle. So there is good reason for aquiring one.

I know there was one scheduled recently & nobody turned up to it. Makes you wonder doesn't it considering there are/were lads doing a lot of shouting about the lack of them recently & now they're not bothered turning up. Easy to see why ranges wouldn't be too bothered organising them.

They are proably getting ready for DC fun and games again and their rifles are remanded in custody in their local gun dealers until the trials yet again...
