    Hi there,
I bought a Maginon wifi extender from Aldi last week. I cannot for the life of me work out how to connect it. I plugged it directly into the router/modem, but not really sure what to do from there. The instructions really are absolute gobbledigook.... Can anyone give me any advice. Ive tried googling it, and looked on youtube.... nothing.

    TIA.

    Is it this?

If so, return it, go buy homeplugs. Repeaters are nothing but trouble, they sacrifice speed and reliability for range.

A home plug is similar to an electrical plug which plugs into the wall - you attach firstly an ethernet connection to your router and connect it to the ethernet socket in the home plug - you can then plug a further home plug into a socket elsewhere in the house/apt - you are effectively using the electric wiring as a connection. Some plug sets are pretty basic and just cater for ethernet others also cater for wifi.
