Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Diseqc 1.2 software

    I've just got a hauppauge nexus-s dvb card and the software only supports diseqc 1.0. I've Got a diseqc 1.2 H-H motor and was wondering if anyone knows if there is any software that I could download or buy to remedy this problem.

    All help greatly appreciated.

    I use this one - can be quite resource intensive - you just need to double check if its compatible with your nexus as i can't remember off hand.


    Otherwise, you could try mytheatre (google for mytheatre 2.76 - the last freeware version).

    You can get a plugin for either of the above to allow you to steer your motor. I'm using the plugin for a skystar 2 card so you will have to google a bit to find the one relevant to your card.


    Theres also a new one called altdvb ..i think its called - have no experience of it.

    i use progdvb with the "dixie" plugin, by all accounts this works fine and it does seem to be compatible with my nexus card.

    i do have a problem though- no matter which diseqc software i use the moter seems to have a mind of it's own, i might be watching something on hotbird for about half an hour and the motor just moves, sometimes it's easy to get it back and sometimes i have to go back to zero, very annoying.

    this did not happen for the first couple of months but it is constant now,

    anyone have any ideas?

    Downloaded Progdvb & dixie plugin & motor is running fine.
