What to put over Decking to stop frost

I have decking out back its right up to my parents door at floor level was just wondering if anybody would recommend something i could put over it at night when there is frost due to stop it freezing which is quite dangerous for them if they walk on it

any tips of wht i can do or were i can get it appreciated

i tried sand etc but it just feezes

How about off cuts of carpet then in the morning remove them

just feel it will soak up the water and your .left with a damp mouldy smelly carpet

A few years ago I was looking after a site and the HS asked me to put something on the working platform for the men as there was ice on it every morning now I know they were planks not decking but we ended up tacking down expanding metal on it and it worked a treat so there is something to think about

Its for putting on to plywood or anything for that matter and then applying sand & cement

A heater that you can place under the boards and turn it on in the morning to melt away the frost/ice. Dont know if such a thing exists.
