Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Irish Rail - ticket query

    I'm just wondering about this. Can you buy a ticket for say Dublin Connolly but get off first at Maynooth and then get another train from Maynooth to Dublin Connolly a few hours later. Thank you.

    Yes if it is a full fare intercity ticket

    In other words, it has to be a ticket purchased at the booking office.

    No. You cant break the journey.

    So is a full fare ticket just a ticket from Longford (where I live) to Dublin Connolly

    A full fare intercity ticket works

    A Maynooth to Bray (e.g. a suburban fare) can't break a trip
