Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Kies freezing up!!!!

everytime i connect my phone and try to use Kies its freezes up, cannot even close it, have to use task manger on my pc.......any ideas

Kies, the Samsung Kies is horrible and buggy...

It is a one-man job - very badly rushed.... (am a programmer by trade and took glee in disassembling Kies which is botched and should be on thedailywtf.com for breaches of programming practices)

My best bet is to check out samfirmware.com and see if you can find the latest firmware upgrade and use multiloader to flash the handset, all instructions/firmwares are on that site - I am a Samsung Wave owner/user and have heard Kies bricking handsets.... until then for now, I suggest to use multiloader if you want to upgrade the handset....
