    11/10 HF with Betfred

    1.98 to lay on Betfair.

Timeform have him 8lbs clear FWIW

I can only get 4/5 with Betfred but oddschecker is saying 11/10

It must have been just as the price was changing that I was trying to back it.

Mullins said on Wednesday at Leopardstown that he wanted to run Zaidpour here.

10 left, it looks very competitive w/o HF

I think we'll do well to get even money about HF tomorrow.

I've taken some of the 10/11 this morning.

1.95 to lay. There's a huge fight for turnover at Cheltenhan so evs is not out of the question IMO

Ladbrokes have said they'll be top price all 27 jollies. Then you'll have Stan James "happy hour" from 11-12.

I'll stick my neck out & say you'll get evs if not 11/10

    Fast :pac:

I would say at least 169 to guarantee vctory, on that ground he may run 176

It's not easy to say. All depends on whether or not Binocular runs up to his mark.

The way people are going on about Hurricane Fly you'd swear he was 20lbs clear. He's only 3

very surprised at how big a price celestial halo is
although his defeat by Binocular wasnt exactly encouraging, he's twice won big handicaps this season off top weight (mark of 160), and loves it at cheltenham (went within a neck of winning it in '09)
can see him running on into a place

When the ORs are considered and throw in the Cheltenham factor (not HF's most suitable track imo) I can't believe the mentions on here that 1/3 is a fair representation of his chances.

Very heavy watering is continuing at chel. Will now go off soft side of good. There is no sprinklers on cross country currently firm/very firm in places.

Personally I don't think Binocular is a 170 horse any more.

I do agree that if you go on rating there probably isn't that much between them but for HF to run a 170 + first time out when he (apparently) wasn't fully fit is impressive.

HF fly beat Binocular by 9 lengths less than a year ago.

HF is lightly raced over the last year but hasn't run under a 170 on any of his outings over the last year.

HF has won on good, heavy, soft, yielding ground - he a quality animal.

Why are we saying Cheltenham doesn't suit HF? He's won a Champion Hurdle beating a horse than has beaten Binocular by 7 lengths..... (Ok I might be picking form to suit my argument here!)

Naturally I'm a huge HF fan and have been for a number of years. I appreciate that I'm probably being lead with my heart in some of my argument above - I just hope it doesn't hurt my pocket (this time!).

Binocular looked every bit a 170 rated horse last time out, which just so happened to be his first run after a breathing op Shane

I love HF .May I correct you on one of your points[Binocular not 170 anymore].Phil Smith gave Binocular 170 on his last run.

I think Binocular was 167 before his last run

Celestial halo isn't a gd marker
    There's something funny about him
How he wins with these big weights in handicaps but he was beaten over 20 lengths by overturn and another 20 by oscar whiskey in the past
Binocular only managed 6 lengths even tho it was visually impressive.
I think hes just a notch below what people think he is

    'Just six lengths'

It was six lengths on the bridle. There was another 9 lengths back to a horse rated 155

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 713 ✭✭✭newuser89

    Other (please specify)
He ran the same race that day then as when he was behind overturn
Because celestial halo was in 3 rd around the same distance that your talking.
