Would the win bonus etc only go to the pro guys or would the amateurs get a shout?

I have taken decision to add a €1000 bonus fund to every event of 2012.

    The breakdown is:

Fight of the Night €200 per fighter

    KO of the Night €200

    Submission of the Night €200

Finish of the Night €200 (chosen from KO and Sub winners)

    Only just noticed this now!

I will be hurling bombs measurable on the richter scale into John Gings skull on my way to that €400.

Jaysus Kieran, you're talking incoherently after just thinking about what The Showstopper is going to do to your consciousness. :)

Will there be separate bonuses for amateur and pro then or will the prizes be picked from the entire card?

    Fighters and coaches!

Just a reminder that from 2012 all professional MMA athletes fighting on Cage Contender will require a valid blood certificate showing they are clear of blood borne diseases dated within 12 months of the fight in question. There will be no exceptions to this system. No test - No Fight

There is absolutely no reason for this to turn into a saga or create ball ache for anybody. After this weekend there are no more shows this year, making it the ideal time to go and get the test sorted. Getting it done now will also mean it out of the way and done, if a promoter rings and offers a last minute match up there is no wild panic to get the test done and results back.

A quick note on contracts and fighter pics. In 2011 we were still chasing contracts and pics right up to the weigh in.

This will not happen in 2012.

When the contract is sent out it should be returned within 7 days. The same timeframe also applies to fighter pics. If the deadline is missed you risk being removed from the card.

Cage Contender will also be changing how we do alot of things in 2012 to make life easy and more professional for all of us. All clubs will receive details of the new systems before Christmas. The idea is to tighten things up internally aswell, we too made some mistakes in 2011 also and I never want to see them repeated.

Unfortunately Cathal Pendred has been injured in training. His fight with Chris Brennan has been postponed until July in Dublin.

We will be announcing a new main event very soon

John please just do us a favor and let Gunnar fight Chris!! Would hate to see Chris drop off the card due to lack of credible challenger. Unless someone big is planned for Gunnar.

We have been discussing options for a week or so when there was a chance Cathal would be out.

I reckon everyone will be happy when they see the outcome.
