So I am getting married soon, very soon!!!

Does anybody have any suggestions for a weekend of fishing between the start of the season and May, preferably salmon or trout?

Also a few that will be going on the stag are not fishermen but all are very experienced in consuming copious amounts of alcohol, ahem :D

also looking to be near somewhere to go out and have a bit of craic at nighttime

preferably around Galway or cork city?

Drink + boats rocking up and down + inexperienced fishermen= projectile vomit......mind you, its a good opportunity to take bets on who becomes the first casualty:D

You want a put and take rainbow fishery with a bait/spinning section beside a pub ......

Ya exactly coolwings or maybe a pub with a put and take fishery inside it, its not asking for too much is it???:D

would like to be a near a town for "socialising" and maybe other activities for those that are not interested in fishing.

I would certainly consider the galway fishery. Its right in the centre of the city and always a few fresh salmon coming up it. They allow most kinds of fishing, including fly for the experienced and for the inexperienced, you can also fish with a spinner, worm or prawn from the high bank on one side. only problem is though, you would probably want to be booking your place in it now as it tends to get busy in and after May.
