Starter Motor Gone

It looks like the starter motor is gone in my E46 320D. Sometimes the car will just refuse to start (engine won't even attempt to turn over). This happens intermittently and it will start straight away after a push start. I'm guessing the starter is sticking and needs to be reconditioned. The battery is fine.

I rang Keenans in Liosbaun, Galway but it says their number has been disconnected  Does anyone know of another crowd in Galway that do starter/alternator reconditioning?

Normally I wouldn't mind removing the starter myself but it seems like an awkward job on this car (remove intake manifold) and I just don't have the time to do it at the moment. Would I be right in saying that this would be an ideal time to do the swirl flaps while the manifold is off?

    Thanks.
