I'm an extraordinary man and she'd bate seven shades of shite outa me.

I started a big long thread about this a while back

saw a video of her sparring paddy Barnes and she knocked lumps out of him. She'd kill the average man.
That must be such a bizarre feeling; sparring with a woman.

Every fibre & sinew of your body would be telling you 'this is wrong, stop'.

I guess that's how broke guys feel when they end up doing gay porn. Sure it could happen to the Pope.

    What was the question?

Yes (unless he hit her with a chair)

Over the head with a guitar would be the way to go. But youd ruin a perfectly good guitar

I don't think Katie would entertain a grubby streetlight with anyone.

She's an athlete- an Olympic Gold Medalist

in a boxing match? nope, in a an actual brawl? maybe not if he tackled her to the ground. I think the OP should volunteer to put this to the test.

Lets say for arguments sake that an average man is :

5ft 10, 14 stone, keeps somewhat active and has little fight experience.

    Would he beat Katie Taylor.

5ft 10 and 14 stone, bit porky isnt he? either that or he's built like Arnold Schwarzenegger :))

No man would fight Kaite Taylor anyway, she too nice altogether, so I would suggest attacking her with a kiss and a bunch of flowers ( maybe some chocolate too) this would melt her heart and the fight would be all over in a flash.

I don't think she would to be honest.

I do a bit of MMA and we had a professional boxer from Holland sparring with us one day. When it was boxing only he was obviously killing us but then when we did MMA rounds it was really quite easy to beat him, just tackle him to the ground. I'd assume most lads following that technique could beat Katie Taylor. A boxer is no use off their feet. Especially a female one against a male who I'd assume would overpower her.
Your comparing two trained individuals one trained in ground game is obviously going to beat a boxer if they can get it to the ground. Your average joe isn't going to have ground training and is still going to have to somehow get a hold of her and get her to the ground. Fighters tend to have superhuman speed in comparison to a normal person.

    Yes she would, thankfully.

You are speaking from experience, just like the guy you are contradicting I suppose?

FYI what he says makes perfect sense, I've been involved in martial arts myself and once things go to ground it is a totally different skill set. It also isn't that hard to grab a hold of someone who is coming at you, it is harder to punch someone who is backing off however. At least in my experience.

I feel like we've had this thread already. The answer is no.

As you can see from that video she is able endure a sparring session with a Men's Olympic double bronze medallist albeit she's ~10Kg heavier than him.

Do you think an average joe could take Paddy Barnes?

    Depends.
How many prayers does he say each night and how often does he attend church?

I can't help but feel a little disturbed by how often this question seems to come up.

Though not as disturbed as the people who've clearly really, really thought about it (none really so far this time), and still think the average man could wrestle her to death.

If prefer the question ... 'if katie was naked and on top, would she give it to me like she was a rodeo rider .. ? '

This. I've sparred with a European Champion Kickboxer and I did ok, he hit me, I hit him, nobody was humiliated, I was mildly surprised(I boxed a lot)as I'm a.oldish b.smoke a lot and have not trained in years. b.I was a ham and eggs boxer. c. he was trying as I fully intended kicking his ass and he knew it. Wind the clock back to me fit and him the same, no chance, I'd have killed him. My good friend boxed for Ireland in the Olympics and when fully fit, he was just too fast, too hard hitting and too slippery to stay in the ring with. They are just on another level.

I don't do any martial art I'm just a fan.
FYI what he says makes perfect sense,
It does make sense because men are naturally bigger and stronger but most untrained people fight stupid unless they have loads of experience in street fighting and learn what not to do through experience.
I've been involved in martial arts myself and once things go to ground it is a totally different skill set.
A skill set the average man doesn't have. Coming from a town kown for it's drunken fighting I've seen more than my fare share of untrained fighters and their ground game is little more than a hugging match. In a lot of street fights if one guy doesn't land a knock out punch straight away the fight turns into something comical.

If she goes up against a man that's training and has a skill set she's going to be at a disadvantage but your average man only fights when they're drunk and even then they throw haymakers that are often thrown with such force they fall after the swing.

Average male with no real fighting experience? No chance, you'd be on the floor before you even saw the punch coming. Sounds like an alcohol-fuelled question asked by wannabe macho lads down the pub.

Lads.. Not a chance.. I was doing a white collar event a while ago, sadly I couldn't compete as in full contact sparring Ibreached 2 ribs prior to the fight. The guy I was sparring with had 3 months more experience than me and he was a class above me draw your own conclusions between an average joe and Katie taylor

Tbh if I was to get into a ring id need to be wrapped up like the Michelin man to last more than a minute.

The average joe would be dropped before he got his hands on her imo

They've raced each other on numerous occasions, most often with The Flash winning. But there have been some exceptions with Superman outrunning The Flash.

Against a vicious no holds barred street brawler scumbag whos been in many street fights , biting, headbutting, tearing ears and willing to slam your face into the footpath repeatedly, I'd say no. Against me or anyone like me............i'd run.

At a guess most street brawls go to the ground. Good footwork is useless then and most punches are severely shortened. Knees, maybe elbows and heads come into play. Strength also is a big factor.

I digress. Against a regular joe as described ya she'd probably knock a few lumps outta him alright. I wouldn't mess with her.

Was just thinking the same thing!!

Anyone that thinks no is obviously extremely ignorant to what it takes to be an olympic level boxer let along gold medalist, well either that or they're semi-retarded.
