Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I only quoted the first few lines of that article, the rest is in the link; I think i read something about copyright on here or something.Like the television character he helped inspire, Donnie Andrews lived by a code.
In his earlier years when he was robbing rival dealers as a young hustler in West Baltimore — experiences that would later form the basis for the popular Omar Little character on the Baltimore crime drama “The Wire” — he vowed to never involve women or children in his crimes.
But after confessing to a murder and helping authorities bring down a crime syndicate, he took on a different mission: working to prevent youth from going down the same path that he did.

Anyway Rest in Peace big fella. I think it speaks a lot to the guy that he died during charity work while trying to give back to his community. Quite appropriate also, as the only redemption stories allowed in the Wire were ones carried on a personal level.1
