Listened to the Review A Wai podcast yesterday. They believed something was up with Claire - wasn't on IMPACT and was insulted for being ugly. So I askled around Bryan Alvarez just posted:

I was thinking the same, especially with the way Styles talked about her. Kazarian and Daniels was no big deal as it was a segment where they didn't know the camera was there.

I figured she quit after realising how many people were making fun of her. Or maybe she was keeping the Popeye thing quiet from everyone she knew.

Would be incredibly unprofessional to quit like that though, deserves to have the wrestling community ruin her career if it is the case, really, probably better for her in the long term too.

Should have just used some wrestler, they'd have known what they were getting into at least, probably no worse of an actor and statistically likely to be a more suitable height.

Wow!, seems weird that she would just quit once she was found out.Did she not know what business she was getting into?

I bet it was cast intracompany (a posting in the theme park break room) to get it on the cheap. Either her agent caught wind of it, if it was non union someone reported her or she just didn't want to be hassled online/in the park.

The thing about alot wrestling fans is when you see the actor on the street, you presume it's the character and treat them as such. No other actor (except maybe porn, I guess) has that issue. So for a "normal" actor to walk into a position as such a hated heel and then have to adjust life quickly to deal with that....I can see why she'd have maybe walked if she did walk....

But do you think she was brought in as a heel or did the writers turn her into that after the reaction she got?

At least they had the paternity test stipulation in the match and aren't just dropping the storyline completely. just wrapping it up quicker than planned.
