Not taking your first choice - Options?
Hey guys, I just checked my cao and I got offered my first choice, it's just that since I filled it out I have realised that I do not want to do that course.. do I have any options besides taking a year out and changing my cao next year? Is it possible that the University might accommodate me?

If what you want to do is in the same university, you might be able to transfer - I know a lot of people who did just that, and it seemed that if you got your application in early enough (which you will be able to do) and had the points/subjects required, you were grand as long as there was space. This probably varies from college to college though, my experience is only of the Trinity system. Could ring the college and see what their policy is?
