Clogherhead?

My son wants to try sea fishing for the first time and am thinking of heading to Clogherhead this evening. How is it fishing off the pier at the mo? Is it worth fishing at low tide?

You'll read all about the plague of seals that occupy the harbour in the mackeral thread. I gave up fishing the pier a long time ago, but I've just returned after drawing a blank off the rocks just north of Clogherhead lifeguard station - again a seal was following every cast

Save your pertol money and try Skerries pier - tightlines
