You seem to be taking this very personally? It would be very normal at an event with such fast turnarounds for a band to sing over a pre-recorded track.
Have you any idea how many channels they would have to be running to do a gig like that?

You see, the weird thing about the guitar is that parts of it were live and parts were obviously mimed. I'm hazarding a guess that he maybe played the solos or had them prerecorded, and the guitar was turned up at the end for the last few strums. It was a decent performance, but goddamn, that song is one of their lowest lows. The lyrics are dumb and the whole instrumentation and structure of the song is all over the place.
I've heard both released tracks and also one of the songs where Chris sings (probably Liquid State as it sounded pretty heavy) and as a long time follower of Muse, I'm really disappointed. Before you all start the 'bands change' argument, I am more than open to change by them. Thought some of the stuff on BHaR was absolutely mint, particularly tracks like Map Of The Problematique and Hoodoo, but since they've dropped Rich Costey as their producer, everything they've done lacks focus and is overproduced to the point of nausea. I'm really thinking they're at a point where they're not going to make a solid album ever again, and I'm okay with that, because they had a really good run. Some fans will disagree but you can't deny that they've become worse creatively, and Matt's obsession with this banker Illuminati nonsense is taking over their artistic integrity. Really thought they flushed that out with The Resistance but obviously not. Oh, and the album art was a little uninspired. |

Its as if they forgot how to be a rock band. I know people keep saying, theyre never going to do another album like OoS because theyre so progressive in the way they make music, always like to experiment etc... but I really do not like this direction.Yes it still sounds like Muse, but its not anywhere near as close to the greats of the first 3 albums.

I think they are being too creative for their own good to be perfectly honest.
song is very generic alright.. Nothing very exciting happening in it. Its crazy how the majority of their fanbase would love to see them go back to the old school music used to make.. I'm certainly not that excited about the album at all. |
