theres a gaming club in newtownforbes(fanatic nobbs) and one in athlone(midland marauders)if you can travel,
didn't know apex actually had gaming i thought it was a stockist and litttle else but are there enough gamers in cavan to warrent a club

Hi guys,

I came accross this forum thread by accident!

I'm Dave Kelly, and I run the Fanatic Nobbs gaming club that is mentioned here. And yes, we are in Newtownforbes in Longford.

For a small town/village we've had over 35 gamers calling in to us to play and we get an average of 12 each meeting... (we have gamers coming to us from mullingar, carrick, mohill and cavan as well as local guys, and girl!).

We have a website (www.fanaticnobbs.webs.com) which has an events caleander on it giving all our meeting dates for the year - but basically we meet every 2nd sunday 10am to 6pm. We run club event (open to all who turn up and play in the club), infact our 40K club GT is in about 5 weeks (check our web site for exact date).

We dont have a membership fee to play, but as the hall we use is rented, there is a €4 cover on gamers every time you turn up to play (sadly this is a necessary evil!!!).

Anyone who wants to call down to us for gaming is very welcome - the more the merrier!!!

we are a small community in this country - almost like hermets!!! We know there are others out there, but its hard to find each other!

Hey David. Thanks for the mention of our club in Mullingar its next door to Stars & Bows and we are usually there Saturdays from 10 til 6 and Sundays from 12 til 6. All are welcome and we are currently called Mullingar Wargamers. Stars and Bows is a bit too girly for my liking

We're a small club and have about 12 regular players though many are Juniors(under 15).

Anybody wanting to drop along and say Hi is most welcome.

Thanks David and Darren for the hospitality shown us Sunday by the Fanatic Nobs when we visited.

Looking forward to next time already.

Hey,
I am just writing to provide all the clubs out there with some information and links. Over the last few months we have been seeing a real growth in the tournament scene here in Ireland. It would be great to get some participation from clubs outside the handful that currently attend the events here. There is now a core group that is organising Warhammer (both Fantasy and 40k). This includes a national ranking system and events calendar! They can be found here:Warhammer Ireland
