An invitation from Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Hello there all,

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot here. We're a new theatre group working in Dublin and we have a show going up in November. We're hoping that some of you kind, generous, obviously alluring people might be interested in funding us ?

The show we're working on-Shadowskin- uses puppets, animation, live music and dance to tell a very old fairy tale in a very new and different way. Everything that you see here was built by hand by our team and if you check out the link below you can see more images and concept art from the show at:

http://www.facebook.com/WTangoTheatreCo

If you go to the link below you can help fund us. That's at

http://www.fundit.ie/project/shadowskin

and believe us, we'd really like to hear from you. We're very near the end of our funding run on fundit.ie though, so you don't have much more time to get involved... But if you want to throw a few bob our way we would certainly appreciate it. And if you want to get in touch with us and let us keep you up to date with the show we'd appreciate that too.

So go ahead- you know you want to...

The lovely people of Waterford Youth Arts are staging Brecht's infamous Happy End (a sequel to The Threepenny Opera) in Garter Lane Tues 28 August - Sat 1 September, 8pm.Tickets: €12 (€10 concs), group rates available. There's a special preview night rate of only €7. Not to be missed and a great night for everyone! For more info check out https://www.facebook.com/events/410726705650109/ or https://twitter.com/HappyEndPlay

"Set in the gritty streets of 1920s Chicago, Happy End tells the tale of an unlikely love affair between a virtuous Salvation Army worker and a hard-boiled gangster. This steamy musical pairs Bertolt Brecht’s biting and witty social satire with a thrilling score from Kurt Weill and with some of his most popular show tunes, Happy End later became the source for the well-known musical Guys and Dolls.
Happy End is directed by highly acclaimed Jimmy Fay who has a string of hit shows to his credit. In recent years he has been associate director with the Abbey Theatre and has directed the work of Sam Shepherd, Roddy Doyle, Mark O’Rowe and many others. He has also directed the hit commercial comedy shows based on Paul Howards’ Ross O’Carroll Kelly character.
With the band El Higado No Existe live on stage throughout featuring Kevin Power, Joe Meagher and friends, expect a musical with a difference as they bring a 'Tom Waits' feel to the night. Featuring 20 local teenagers from Waterford Youth Arts with choreography by Trish Murphy and video and set by Neil O’Driscoll, the show will have an energy, a sense of fun and biting menace. Happy End packs a political punch closing with a song in ‘tribute’ to the rich and powerful of this world."

Welcome to our next production! We are very excited to bring you the Irish premiere amateur performance of Miracle on 34th St. the Musical. This is a great zippy New York Musical Show for Theatre lovers and families.

Miracle on 34th Street is a great Christmas show. The story is told of Doris and Susan Walker, a mother and daughter that are much too practical to believe in Santa Claus. Filled with humor, spectacle of New York at Christmas, Macy’s famous Thanksgiving Parade and beloved songs this joyous, heart-warming musical is pure family entertainment.

The Musical by Meredith Willson is based on the 20th Century Fox Picture with story by Valentine Davies and screenplay by George Seaton. The film starred Maureen O'Hara and John Payne.
