Phase 4 in LIT

Howayas, I've been sent down by FAS to this place for phase 4. Can anyone give me some info on the general lay out of this place, where to stay, what it's like, if there's parking. Just general stuff please really. I've never been to Limerick before!

Thanks

Well the accommodation thread is stickied http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...p?t=2056687083

It's not the biggest college so it's easy to find your way around after a couple of days.

There's parking but get there early as it fills up. Unfortunately, many people are too lazy to make a 10 minute walk from the student villages and drive up which is silly IMO.

I wouldnt really be looking at the village. I'd say we would be more looking at getting a house together because there's a few of us. Are there estates near the college? Is the college near the town aswell?

Thanks

Cooleraine heights is across the road. I was in Dooneen Rd last year and that was fairly close. Check Kilbranish Drive too. Have a look on Daft.ie and narrow it down to Caherdavin and then use the address in google maps and see how far it is away from the college.

I don't drive but I would hazard a guess at it being a 10 minute drive depending on traffic into the city.

Gym in the college isnt great so if you want to join a gym you are much better joining one of the gyms in the hotels nearby like the Strand

I never used the gym but I heard that it wasn't up to much. There's a sports hall there alright and 3 astro turf pitches.

Will you be there for the full year? The sports is good there. Hurling, football, rugby and soccer are popular.

No I'm only there until December but just trying to get as much info as possible. When you say the parking fills up early what time would you be talking about?

Thanks

Well if you are really stuck for a house, the student villages have taken FAS students for the amount of time they are studying at a reduced price so that's always an option if push comes to shove.

Well if you're driving, those places are ok. It would definitely be a bit of a walk.

This would be closer http://www.daft.ie/searchrental.daft?id=1226370

This is further away but not as far as knock hill as far as I can see
