There are thousands of vloggers on youtube. I follow a few which, if I'm honest, I have nothing in common with. However, I do like having an insight into other people's lives.

Some of them are primarily fashion or makeup blogs, and I tend not to watch videos on such subjects, but when they do their husband/boyfriend tags, I find them strangely addictive!

One that I feel slightly embarrassed to admit I follow is a girl called BritPopPrincess.

She's a girl from London, of Nigerian heritage, who mostly vlogs about fashion, but also about her personal and professional life, including her engagement and marriage. It's strange to follow someone from announcing they are engaged, to planning the wedding, to getting married and then to discussing married life! Her energy and positivity are infectious.

I know you only know them on the most superficial level, but I find such vlogs infinitely more rewarding than the hundreds of reality TV shows that clog up the televisual airwaves.

Anyone feel the same way? Anyone have any good vloggers they would recommend, and why?

I try and follow as much of the 'Small guys' as possible! Mainly the Irish ones!

Who do you mean by small guys? Can you give a few examples?

The only Irish vlogger I know is http://www.youtube.com/user/misscecebeauty, though technically she's British-Asian, and her boyfriend is Latvia, but both have been living in Ireland long enough that they sound Irish.

Channels that are up-and-coming! I try to help them and promote them where I can, because I know how hard and daunting YouTube can be
