I dont see anything on the link regarding this. It only say's Giannoni has patented it's heat exchanger.

The viessmann one is different. Why would they be saying they invented it if someone else did?

I'm waiting for some confirmation from Germany on this, should come through tomorrow hopefully.

Glen Dimplex has ceased the manufacture of condensing gas boilers with effect from April 2012 although it is anticipated that leading plumbing and heating merchants will have stocks available until about July 2012. Please be aware that all warranties in relation to previously installed Halstead and Dimplex Gas Boilers will continue to be valid provided that the annual service is still carried out. go to glen dimplex home page for details

Veissmann 4 Pipe Boiler / Opentherm Controls

Hi Lads,

I need a boiler for heating 5 zones (3 in a detached granny flat, 2 in the main house located in front of it) + 1 shared 300L hot water cylinder located in a detached boiler house between the two buildings.

I am thinking Veissmann 4 pipe system boiler and unvented cylinder.

I would also like intelligent stats in the 5 heating zones (opentherm) so that the temperature modulates and stays steady at all times.

Can anyone recommend a supplier, installer with good experience of modulating controls / digital stats that feed info back to the boiler in or near Cork City?

Thanks,
James.

Give precision a ring they will tell you who is good at fitting their boilers.

Hello ,

I just bought a new house , its 1950's with an old boiler incorporated into a fake fireplace in the living room.
I got a plummer to quote for a new condensing boiler with controls to zone the upstairs/downstairs.
He will also flush the old system with cleanser.
He will need to do some pipe work as the new boiler will be in a different location in the house.
His quote was 1900 euro.
Not sure if this is good or not??
